Our Farm

Welcome to Townend Farm, situated in the heart of the East Yorkshire countryside, is home of the Aylott family and their menagerie of pets – horses, chickens, peacocks, Turkey Man (the turkey), cats and dogs.

Although no longer a working farm, Townend farm was once a pioneering farm and the brainchild of Samuel Fox, the inventor of the light steel umbrella frame.

Fox, who made his home the village of North Cliffe not only built the little church in North Cliffe but also a cluster of model farms, showcasing special design features which made these farm most productive of their time.
